RULES OF THE CHALLENGE

Spoiler: show
1. This year, as part of a very special Christmas Movie Preview weekend, the Christmas Movie Challenge will BEGIN on Saturday 26th November 2016. The Challenge will finish on Saturday 31st December 2016 (inclusive).
2. You need to reserve your place in the thread before the challenge begins. If you don't reserve before Saturday 26th November then you can not take part in this year's challenge.
3. The goal is to watch as many movies as possible during the course of the challenge.
4. The challenge works on a points system. A Christmas movie = 2 points. A non-Christmas movie = 1 point.
5. List everything you watch in here. You must also post star ratings in additional posts throughout this topic, you may also include mini reviews recommending or not recommending each of the films you watch.
6. The person who watches the most wins.
7. Members taking part should use there own judgement as to what qualifies as a Christmas movie. There should be clear concise reasons for your choices.
8. At least two MUST be films that you have never seen before.
9. A "watched film" is classified as a movie that you have given your undivided attention too, this means that films you have "watched" whilst cleaning your room, chatting on the phone or surfing the internet are NOT eligable for entry - WATCH them, don't use them as background noise.
10. Nothing shorter than 40 minutes in length is to be counted within the challenge.
11. Honesty is key. If you are not honest then Santa will bring you a bag of coal.
12. The most important rule of all - The challenge is meant to be FUN, it really is the taking part that counts.

I tag my Christmas/Halloween discs on DVD Profiler as they come in. Handy this time of year! Nice list BTW Phoebs.

I enjoyed the first day of my festive break, I watched back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back movies (literally)! I also watched Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas, which I couldn't include in the challenge as it's less than 40 minutes in length but it was really great fun. I was a bit naughty (sorry Santa) and counted both Prep & Landing shorts as one movie (two points) because together they exceed the minimum requirement. I'm happy to omit them from the list though, I don't want coal in my stocking!

Update your naughty or nice lists!

As always, I loved the HOTpopcorn Christmas Movie Challenge, it was lots of fun and I managed to surpass last year's movie and points total. Here's to the 2017 edition! ;) :sc:
