DVD: 24 - Season Two (2002) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I preferred the main plot of season two over the main plot in the first season, but overall I prefer the subplots of the first over the second. I love both seasons, but I'd overall I'd say that season two is my fav so far...

TV (HD): Duplicity (2009) ~ ~

The amount of flashbacks was silly and made the film overly complicated.

Thought this was great. One of the funniest movies I've seen in recent years. :thumbwink:

DVD: Ride 'Em Cowboy (1942) ~ ~ ~

A lot of these lesser known Abbott and Costello flicks like Ride 'Em Cowboy and Keep 'Em Flying are very similar in quality. That is if you like one then you'll like them all, if not then chances are you'll not like the rest. I'm a big fan of Abbott and Costello, there often criticised as being a poor mans Laurel and Hardy (love them too), but I like there schtick and always get a good laugh out of there flicks.

BD: Cliffhanger (1993) ~ ~ ~ ~

Excellent Stallone action flick and Renny Harlins best movie. Although the rest of the film fails to live up to that opening sequence, it's still a damn good ride. The lossless audio quality was incredible, the avalanche scene shook the walls of my house! :^ :^

BD: Heathers (1989) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Loved this. It was like the anti-Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I really dug how dark the movie was, thought it was a cool little cult film.

DVD: Abbott and Costello in the Navy (1941) ~ ~ ~ ~

I love it when actors visibly crack-up with laughter and In the Navy has a great example of it. Probably my favourite Abbott and Costello service comedy. :^

BD: Cliffhanger ~ ~ ~ ~

BD: Heathers ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I first watched Heathers back in early High School and I personally feel its one of those films that gets better the older you watch it, I think I was too young the first time round to fully understand it. Its also got the best name for a film ever.

DVD: Employee of the Month ~ ~ ~ :1/2:

I did enjoy this film, much more than I had expected. It completely held my interest throughout and I was entertained, saying that I didn't actually experience many laugh-out-loud moments that I hope for from a comedy.

Cinema: The Princess and the Frog ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

This is a delightfully charming fairytale from Disney. It's so nice to see Disney return to their traditional 2-D animation after a small flurry of CGI films. It was the perfect combination... Beautiful, colourful animation (had me thinking wow, how long must it have taken them to make this!), a very fun and unique plot which of course left no stones unturned, I love how everything happens for a reason and the story is always completed. The songs were wonderful, just what you want... catchy and helping to drive the narrative forward. I also found it interesting that it is set in New Orleans, made it a little more interesting.

It was everything that you would hope for and a little more! The Disney formula works very well and this film made me excited to see more 2-D animation from them in the future. Another one to add to the Disney legacy.

Looking forward to it's BD/DVD release now. :)
